Location: 435 Clyde Building

About

From Lehi, Utah, McKay’s interests include mathematics, computer science, algorithms and optimization, linguistics, and data science. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, creating digital art, and playing pickleball or volleyball.

Research

McKay’s research is focused on Natural Language Processing and how to extract information and meaning from a given text or query. Using linear algebra and machine learning methods, his ultimate goal is to allow biologists to interact with underwater robots directly, letting them to specify what kind of information and data needs to be collected.
