Kalliyan Lay

Research Assistant

Kalliyan is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering, and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University (BYU) in April 2021. Kalliyan spent her four years as an undergraduate student researching silicon chip gas chromatography and nanopore devices. As a graduate student, Kalliyan now specializes in localization problems, with projects involving bearing-only distributed localization for underwater vehicles, range-only distributed localization for aerial vehicles, and infrared fiducial markers for autonomous landing.

Kalliyan was born an raised near Seattle, Washington. In her free time, she likes to write songs, take pictures of her friends, and eat delicious food.
