About

Abigail Austin is an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University studying Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. She joined the FRoSt lab in May 2023.

From Tucson, Arizona, Abi enjoys video games, D&D, and anything nerdy. She is also interested in robotics and video game design.

Research

Abigail is working on the HoloOcean simulator project. HoloOcean is an open source simulator for underwater robotics and sonar. She is helping maintain the project as well as working to expand HoloOcean to automatically generate underwater environments using user input data. Abigail is also working on creating a VR underwater simulation using 3D scans of coral reefs.
