Logan Shields is an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering, on track to earn his bachelor’s degree in April 2028. He joined the FROST Lab in April of 2026 under Dr. Brady Moon. His academic plans are currently to pursue a dual master’s degree in engineering and business administration.

Logan is an Air Force brat and has lived all over the United States with a brief stint in Germany for high school. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball and tennis, listening to country music, and enjoying a good burger.

Research

As an undergraduate student, Logan is part of a team researching robotics, controls, and autonomy. His research is specifically focused on belief-space planning and long-horizon decision-making for multi-target tracking using unmanned aerial vehicles.
