About
Iverson is a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University (BYU) and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from BYU in April 2025. As an undergraduate research assistant, he worked on robotics and dynamics projects, including soft robotic shape estimation using string potentiometers, custom PCB design for real-time joint tracking, and ROS-based data pipelines for experimental systems.
Iverson was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. Outside of research, he enjoys playing volleyball, eating good food, and dancing at weddings.
Research
As a graduate student, Iverson’s research focuses on robotics, controls, and autonomy, with an emphasis on belief-space planning and long-horizon decision-making for multi-target tracking using unmanned aerial vehicles.
