Ian Chamberlain joined the lab in April 2026 as an undergraduate studying computer engineering.

Ian is from Laie, Hawaii. He is a member of the BYU Robotics Team and, at the time of writing, is battling through the junior core. He enjoys playing video games, going to concerts, listening to music, hiking, and grappling (BJJ, Judo, and Wrestling).

His research focuses on improving underwater 3D reconstructions to track the growth of coral reefs. His work includes state estimation, computer vision, camera calibration, and color correction.
